The movie opens in Nicks (Michael Cera) room, the screen pans the scene as Nick leaves a message on his ex-girlfriend Triss (Alexis Dziena) answering machine. Nick tells her that he is leaving the final of his mixed cds on her doorstep, making this volume # 12 from the Road to Closure series. Nick is heartbroken that they broke up and wants to know why it happened specifically why on his b-day. The scene then goes to Sacred Heart Higher school in Englewood, NJ. Bopping down the hallway listening to her ipod is Norah (Kat Dennings), on her method to her locker she meets up with Caroline (Ari Graynor). Caroline asks her if they're heading out towards the town with the night time, Norah agrees as lengthy as Caroline promises not to get drunk again. Caroline agrees when Tris comes as much as them.
